A meme is born Got what I thought was some comment spam over at worcesterfari today.
It originated from a company in Canada who are working on some IPTV and VOD stuff, so I did the decent thing and agreed to blog if I get a free trial.
Completely forgot that my e-mail .sig had my mobile number in it.

Less than half an hour later the 'spammer' rang me.

We had a lovely (if very expensive for him) chat and I'm signed up for the trial due to be run out by Transmission4.com in the UK. There is a bit of a website but it is due to go live come Monday.

During the course of the conversation I was querying were the independent content providers were going to make there money in an advert free zone.

Basically the gist was that MatrixStream were in the business of providing the kit to the ISP's, it was then down to the ISPs to go to war on content provision.

And then he said the words.
