B*gger T*t B*astard W*nk......
For reasons I can't go into in a public forum, my net connection is not likely to be up for a while longer yet.
So I will wish all you Pagans a very Happy Winter Solstice. Huzzah it starts getting lighter again.
And whatever seasonal greeting the rest of you would like to receive, I send with love and light.
And remember
You are only walking into the deep dark forest until you reach the middle, then you are walking back out.

Brainwashing 101 :: AcademicBias.com
Just picked this link up from
ukfuture a recent (of many) new addition to my blogroll.
There has been a few recently and I really do need to have a tidy up and start to try and categorise them. If anyone has any suggestions for a better FREE app other than that supplied by blogrolling - please please let me know.
In the meantime Brainwashing 101 is a chunky 78Mb download - which I will report back on in the very near future, but it sounds promising.
UPDATE: You have to watch this. I would hope to do a blow by blow account, but I doubt I will. So just watch it. And then be afraid.
Oh and I've just acquired some
love and
hate. I'm thinking it could come in useful soon.
Bloggerheads Episode II - Attack of the Bloggers
If I was a proper Star Wars geek I would make witty references to Lord "
Stinky" Sith et al.
Instead I will wish Tim a successfull re-launch, and wait for a disturbance in the blogosphere.

The Yes Men and The legacy of Bhopal
I'd never heard of the Yes Men until today. This the 20th anniversary of the terrible events of Bhopal, the Yes Men (who successfully
highlighted the 18th anniversary) managed to take the BBC World program hook, line and sinker. Strangely enough the
BBC News Site is somewhat muted about the whole incident. Indeed the BBc network seems to have clammed up apart from
this statement.
Dow still maintains that "this really has nothing to with us". A brief
statement states that Dow never owned nor operated the plant. This is true - they suggest that you check out this
link. Ah yes, the evil doers are off course Union Carbide. Nothing to do with do wirth Dow back then but now a wholly owned subsiduary. And Dow still maintains it's responsibilities are negligable. If you are too young to remember or if you beleive that Dow is right, try this
Google search - some of the images are not for the faint hearted.
And for a background of the chronology try

Update: Further details can be found

Is it just me or does this seem like a
*really* bad idea?
I want "Richard, Bovingdon, Herts" as casting director,
...it is rumoured that Hollywood director Oliver Stone wants to commit to film the story of one of his greatest political heroines - Baroness Margaret Thatcher.
See Richard's list in the comments.
Thought quite what he's got against lard, Gary Lineker and Alan Hansen is beyond me!
Dogging the Scaryduck way
Last night was spent in the most profitable manner possible, with a trip down to Whitehall with a big bottle of that aniseed-flavoured spray favoured by hunt sabateurs to send hunt dogs on a mad barking frenzy round the countryside.
Starting outside the main doors to the Home Office and doing my best to look like a goofy yokel tourist up from the sticks (an act that comes naturally, I am pleased to say), I managed to lay out a twisty-turny Benny Hill-type trail up and down the seat of British government, crossing several bus lanes and extremely busy roads, ending up in the Leopard enclosure at London Zoo.
So, as a top tip, you might like to watch one of the twenty-four hour news channels today for the moment David Blunkett and guide dog turn up for work - with hilarious results!
I am not mad.
Best laugh I've had in quite some time - Thank you Mr Duck.
Stinky and the Vulcans
The kid and I were chatting happily last week about really really important things such as this country's top movie, Spongebob Squarepants, when, suddenly, she pointed at the TV screen behind me. Then, as her face contorted in anger, she said ominously "He's e-e-e-e-v-u-l..."
Startled by the look on her face, I turned to the TV, expecting to see the Red Skull with his boot on the neck of Captain America -- but it was only George Bush, smirking and chortling and kissing members of his cabinet on the lips. "No, honey," I said, "that's only the president. That's George Bush."
"Well, okay," she said, with a shudder. Then, squenching her eyes shut and pursing her lips, she muttered "But I'm gonna call him Stinky."
And do you know what? If it's good enough for an 8 year old, it's good enough for poons. And what's more everytime I use
Stinky I'm gonna link it, anyone else want to play?
"Unusual" Weapons Used in Fallujah
BAGHDAD, (IPS) -- The U.S. military has used poison gas and other non-conventional weapons against civilians in Fallujah, eyewitnesses report.
“Poisonous gases have been used in Fallujah,” 35-year-old trader from Fallujah Abu Hammad told IPS. “They used everything -- tanks, artillery, infantry, poison gas. Fallujah has been bombed to the ground.”
Hammad is from the Julan district of Fallujah where some of the heaviest fighting occurred. Other residents of that area report the use of illegal weapons.
Please, could just one member of the UN security council have the balls to table a resolution calling for the end of the use of these illegal weapons by the US forces. Are you listening Mr Blair, because silence equals complicity.
MC DJ Mike in da house!
Yo yo, a big shout out to the Kidderminster massive. *ahem*

SundayMirror.co.uk - FALLUJAH NAPALMED
US troops are secretly using outlawed napalm gas to wipe out remaining insurgents in and around Fallujah.
News that President George W. Bush has sanctioned the use of napalm, a deadly cocktail of polystyrene and jet fuel banned by the United Nations in 1980, will stun governments around the world."

Breaking the Coke habit....
LONDON (Reuters) - A former Wall Street stockbroker plans to launch a hedge fund to short-sell shares in Coca-Cola and give any profits to people in countries he says the U.S. drinks company has exploited.
Max Keiser, 44, a self-styled "investment activist", has teamed up with the son of the late entrepreneur Sir James Goldsmith with the aim of halving Coke's share price to $22 in 12 months from its current value of around $40.
